The 1989 Lamborghini Countach 25th Anniversary Edition celebrated the companys defiant rise from the ashes of its 1978 bankruptcy and subsequent purchase by the resurgent Chrysler Corporation in 1987. The occasion inspired Lamborghini engineers to execute a host of improvements to the Countach that included a new front air dam, redesigned engine and cooling intakes and new lower body work integrated with the fender flares and blended with a redesigned rear bumper. While the driveline remained unchanged, the Countach received new O.Z. modular alloy wheels and new Pirelli Zero Asymmetrical tires in place of the old P7s.
